Do you fear humiliation and is it holding you back?

less Nihilistic and more purpose

So, do you fear humiliation? Is your fear of humiliation keeping you from pursuing your dreams?

If so, let’s talk.

I get it. Folks fear humiliation and that fear keeps people from becoming the awesome people they were meant to be.

So consider this. What’s the worst thing that can happen to you?

I’ll tell you the worst thing that ever happened to me. I’ll also tell you the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life.

The worst thing and the biggest mistake

The worst thing that ever happened to me was my mother died. And the biggest mistake I ever made in my life was taking so fucking long to get Astral Eyes off the ground.

In fact, I took so long to get Astral Eyes off the ground that my mother didn’t live to see it happen. She died in 2013. We released our debut album on Halloween 2015.

So I told you the results, but not how to get over the fear

Now you know what happens if you don’t act fast enough. I ended up with regrets since I took too long. That’s not a feeling I’d wish on you.

So let’s talk about fear. How do you get over a fear of anything?

You get over a fear of anything by doing, but you may have to go slowly. I’m well aware people fear humiliation more than pretty much anything else on the planet. But it’s such an important fear to conquer that you have to conquer it.

For instance, I forced my son to take a speech class in high school. He fought tooth and nail against it. However, that’s one thing he didn’t have a choice in.

He took it and he did exceptionally well. Afterwards, he did thank me as it helped big time.

If you fear humiliation, you’ll really be hurting yourself in life

Are you worried about haters? You know what I say about haters? If you don’t have haters, you’re not working hard enough.

Just because weak ass betas hate successful people, you shouldn’t have to please them. You need to please yourself. What do you want? You want to get rich? You want to travel? Or do you want to have wild sex with someone more attractive than you?

That’s your life, not mine, so more power to you. And what does this have to do with fearing humiliation? Everything.

To get what you want, you’re going to have to work. And by working, you will fail. And sometimes, you will fail so badly that it will be humiliating.

Well, get right back on your bike and try again kid! That’s all there is to it. You need to keep going.

Humiliation won’t kill you

You’ll find that humiliation doesn’t kill you. I’m a performing musician for Pete’s sake, so I’ve pretty much seen it all. You’re going to have people who don’t like your act. As a musician, do you know what’s worse than the people who don’t like your act? The ones who don’t care. That’s what’s really damaging.

But you don’t play for the ones who don’t like you or don’t care. You play for your fans. Those numbers will be small at first and it will seem like forever to grow them to a decent amount.

Look. I’m going to sound like your asshole high school football coach. But the reason I’m going to sound like him is because it works. Stop being a bitch. If you’re letting your fear of humiliation hold you back, you’re being a bitch. And you need to knock it off.

Alphas make a decision to control their lives instead of letting life control them. That’s how you become an Alpha. Yes, it is that simple. You don’t have to be the tall, dark handsome stranger on the cover of a romance novel to be an Alpha.

And the female equivalent – you don’t have to be a hot blonde cheerleader with killer tits. You just have to control your life instead of letting life control you. Alphas, both alpha males and alpha females, control their lives. Betas, let life control them.

So you fear humiliation? Once again, knock it off. Change your mentality about humiliation where you’re going to go ahead whether you succeed or fall on your face.

Get up!

And when you fall on your face, get right back up and try again. Yes, you will fall on your face. You know how I know you will fall on your face? Because, not one successful person who has ever lived has been perfect 100% of the time.

I can guarantee you that Nadia fell many times in practice. But when she got to the Olympics after hours and hours and hours and hours of practice, we all know what happened.

You’re going to do it. You’re not going to let your fears stop you. Why? Because you’re not a bitch. You’re not a quitter. You are an awesome person who wants awesome things out of life and you’re going to achieve them!
